CMA Girishkumar P G is a seasoned professional with more than 20 years of experience in finance, accounting, and administration. A Fellow Member of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI), he has consistently demonstrated exceptional financial and administrative expertise throughout his career.
Girishkumar served as the Assistant Registrar (Finance) at the Indian Maritime University, Chennai, under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Government of India. From August 2021 to December 2024, he provided strategic financial leadership, contributing to the University's robust financial management framework. Prior to this, he held prominent roles in both the public and private sectors across various locations in India.
During his 11-year tenure at BSNL, Palakkad, he made significant contributions in roles such as Chief Accounts Officer cum Internal Financial Advisor (IFA), ensuring financial stability and operational efficiency.
An alumnus of St. Thomas College, Thrissur, where he earned his B.Com, Girishkumar also holds an MBA in Financial Management from Bharathiar University (2018). He qualified for UGC-NET in Management in 2019. Professionally, he is a qualified Cost and Management Accountant (CMA) (2007) and a Company Secretary (CS) from the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) (2019). His technical proficiency included a Diploma in Computer Applications and Financial Accounting (Tally), along with extensive expertise in SAP FICO and developing MS Excel macros.
In addition to his public sector achievements, Girishkumar has amassed significant experience in private industries, including the manufacturing, service, and education sectors in various locations across India. He has held key financial and managerial roles such as Finance Manager, Cost Controller, Cost Accountant, and Administrative Manager. His contributions to these organizations span strategic financial management, cost control, ERP implementation, and taxation, reflecting his versatility and dynamism as a professional.
Giriskumar's academic contributions include teaching Accountancy and Costing at Sobha College, Thirur, Thrissur, showcasing his dedication to nurturing the next generation of finance professionals.
